This month, we will compare the Classical Music Style to another style of music; Rock and Roll!
So far, the children have only seen me play my acoustic guitar, so this month I will introduce them to my electric guitar so we can compare the two. Since everyone is now familiar with music terms for soft (piano) and loud (forte) most students have no trouble at all realizing that while the electric guitar CAN sound loud but that I will NOT play it loud for them. I will show them how this guitar can make a LOT of different sounds, and that it sounds VERY different from my acoustic guitar.
We will also move and groove to some fun oldies songs, so we can try and listen for the electric guitar sounds as well as
try to name some other instruments. We will talk about Rock Bands, and how they are different from Orchestras and Marching Bands as well as how they are the same.
